Athletes United for Youth develops, operates, and supports structured, affordable, and accessible after-school programs, computer learning centers, one-on-one mentoring, and substance abuse prevention and awareness programs. We at Athletes United for Youth realize that our goals are ambitious and wide-ranging. We can achieve them, though certainly not alone. We're laying the foundation and need your support to accomplish our important mission. We need you, your foresight, your volunteer manpower, and above all, your financial support.

On Sunday, May 18th, join Dell Curry, Steve Smith, Jay Bilas, and several of their celebrity friends as they host a casual but fun and entertaining event, the Athletes for Youth’s Celebrity Sizzle. The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction comprised with some of the most unique and once in a lifetime auction items. You won’t want to miss out on bidding on the opportunity to play a round of golf with Steve Smith, Dell Curry or Jay Bilas. You will also have the opportunity to bid on a dinner packet prepared by our celebrity chef, Chef Chris-Ivens Brown - He will create a sumptuous and elegant multi-course feast for 8 guests in your home. He will provide everything and tailor the menu to your specific desires. The more you bid the more perks he will add, such as wine, flowers and maybe a surprise celebrity appearance during dinner. And, what about a custom made suite by DW Design? There’s so much more…

For an evening full of laughter, fun and excitement, join us for the Celebrity Sizzle and mingle with a number of invited guests as well as invited celebrities. At 8:00 p.m., you will enjoy a delicious culinary masterpiece consisting of a 5-course meal designed and prepared by the executive chief of Ruth’s Chris Steak House.

On Monday, May 19, 2008, you can join Dell Curry, Steve Smith, Jay Bilas, Corporate and individual sponsors as well as, many invited Celebrity Guests, to converge upon one of North Carolinas newest, most beautiful and challenging golf courses, The Palisades Golf & Country Club, for the Athletes for Youth Celebrity Golf Charity Classic.
