Athletes United For Youth After-School Program

Plaza United Methodist Church will house twelve (12) brand new Dell computers.

Highslide JS The Billingsville Elementary School site, which will serve the Grier Heights community, will house ten (10) brand new Dell Computers.

Bette Rae Thomas Recreation Center will serve the Enderly Community and will house ten (10) computers.

Coulwood Middle School will house twenty (20) computers. Hours of operation will span from approximately 2:00pm - 7:00pm daily.

The computer learning centers will be staffed with after-school counselors; however, the organization currently contracts with a person to assist with the structured curriculum delivery. The proposed curricula will include basic and various phases of advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database manipulation, as well as, internet navigation and responsibility. Outcome studies will be conducted at the beginning and end of each segment to determine the progress of the students and the possibility of amending the program structure if necessary.
